They call you…: Ayobami Oluokun but everyone calls me Ayo for short
You Sing…: I am a tenor in the group and fill in on alto from time to time.
Status: Single, Married, Engaged, 4kids and a dog? Whatever you want to put: I’m currently single
What’s on your iPod? My Ipod knows no color or genre boundaries so I have a little bit of everything on there. My favorite genres are contemporary christian, rnb and gospel
Who is your inspiration/what inspires you? Musically I’m inspired by artists like Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Boyz II Men, Carl Thomas and any of the old Motown groups. Now, as to what puts a song in my heart, that would be life, in all its joyous and sorrowful moments as well as my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Songs just pop into my spirit at the most random times and I know that those songs are messages that I’m meant to deliver to the people of the world and His children
What’s your favorite song on “the project”; Ba Ba Wa Orun (Correct this if the spelling is wrong). The song is soo powerful, it just gets me anytime I hear it or we sing it. It has deep meanings and it ministers to people whether they understand the language or not
What makes you laugh: I find alot of things humorous, from funny jokes to random comedic situations. I have a keen ability to find something funny in nearly any situation
What are you most thankful for: There honestly is alot to be thankful for such as good friends, health and family but I think the gift of music is one of the ones I’m most thankful for. I couldn’t imagine my life without music. If I couldn’t sing, write or express myself musically I would feel like I’m lacking something big in my life. Every time I think about it, I just thank God that he gave me this gift and I try my best to make myself worthy of it.
